SpanishPoint won the overall Smart Client Development Partner of the Year category. There were a record number of entries for the awards this year with over 3,500 partner companies making submissions.

SpanishPoint won the award for their work with the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO). IMRO processes hundreds of documents each day which contain vital data from their information providers, such as radio and TV stations, music download sites and mobile phone ring tones. IMRO was faced with the challenge of managing, integrating and sharing the information contained in these documents. SpanishPoint developed a collaborative workflow solution that streamlined this process for IMRO resulting in reducing the time and cost of processing the incoming information. The solution was built using a range of Microsoft technologies including SharePoint, BizTalk, SQL Server and InfoPath.

SpanishPoint was established in 2005 by Donal Cullen and John Corley, who saw an opportunity to take a fresh approach at delivering customer solutions based on key Microsoft technologies. “Winning this award is something we are incredibly proud of and it’s an important achievement for the company,” commented Donal Cullen, CEO, SpanishPoint. “It’s particularly exciting when you see the range and variety of different applications that entered the competition. It’s great to see that the work being undertaken with Microsoft technology in Ireland is as good as anywhere else in the world.”

“Winning this award is a testament to SpanishPoint’s skills and expertise not only in Microsoft technology, but in understanding a real-world business problem and delivering a tailor-made solution which is having a positive impact on the customer’s business,” said Colin Cassidy, Partner Strategy & Programmes Manager, Microsoft Ireland. “SpanishPoint are a great example of why Microsoft is so focused on working with partner companies. It’s our partners who take great technology and make it a great solution for the customer.”

The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference is Microsoft’s premier annual event for Microsoft Partners. The Microsoft Partner Program helps partners build successful Microsoft technology-based businesses by offering a variety of resources including training, technical support, products and peer-networking opportunities.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-07-17T12:27:25Z</dcterms:modified>
